summary: this article talks about the phrase "sushi terrorism"that has been viral on many social platform and has sparked a huge outcry online. the video was published on instagram by a teenage boy, in the video his friend was licking a soy sauce bottle on a sushi conveyor belt and put them back. Since the video had spread a lot of people are complaining about the quality and how unhygienic it is for the other customers. however, the restaurant has replaced all the soy sauce bottles and instated new dining rules for every customers.
reaction: in this case I think they were doing it for fun and did not expect to be viral but since a lot of people have known about this many restaurants should be more aware of their customers and their hygiene.
questions:
- should restaurants ban this type of customers?
-what would you do if you were the staff?
-should young people be educated about how they should act in public?
do you think this happened somewhere else before other than Japan? i think this has happened in other places as well, because this even happens in a very clean country like Japan!
ReplyDeleteEven though they are teenager, this is unexcepted ! and it is not funny for those customers who were the victim. I can't imagine myself realize that the sauce I ate was licked by a stranger. Emotional damage !! (Stevenvoice)
ReplyDeleteI think teenage boys can do many things unintentionally and do not thoroughly think of the consequences of their actions. It is right to educate and punish him. Spreading awareness and concerns about hygiene in restaurants and reinforcing the dining rule are appropriate actions.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I am a little bit worried about the boy's feelings. Since the article does not mention anything furthermore about him afterwards.
