Title: fake or not? Decoding the authenticity of online news

Source: Milos Stanic, what’s new in publishing

URL: https://whatsnewinpublishing.com/fake-or-not-decoding-the-authenticity-of-online-news/

Summary: this article explains what fake news is, types of fake news, how they spread the news and how do we spot fake news. Fake news is created to intrigue readers or viewers by using various methods -no matter how foul. These methods include interesting headlines and clickbait  that are usually fake. Some sources are obvious that it is made up, we can spot them by their cheap graphics which are considered unprofessional compared to other big news companies. To prevent ourselves from getting deceived by the fake news we should read the news clearly and carefully

Reaction:  getting informed about current events day by day is part of human’s life, especially receiving them through the online world; social media is a boiling pot of different news or stories mixed together. With this in mind, we can expect anything accurate and inaccurate which is occurring everyday with no sign of it slowing down its aggression. One thing we can, indeed, do to not fall for a victim is to check the source you’re getting the information from twice or more.

Questions: -should school teach us how to be more careful with fake news? -how can we stop people from making fake news?
